At Bridal Place, every stitch carries a story — Our founder used paper, rocks, scissors, and imagination to craft handmade dolls and clothes, creating joy from scraps. Her love for sewing was born not from luxury, but from resilience, creativity, and heart.

After immigrating to the United States, she purchased her first sewing machine in the early 1970s. Her very first creation was a simple khaki sundress — made because she wanted something nice to wear to church. That humble dress sparked something greater: admiration. Friends and neighbors began to request pocketbooks, dresses, and custom pieces, all made with her hands and heart. And she said yes — because she loved it, and because times were hard.

Her role as a military wife brought her to Germany, where she continued sewing for families in their homes. But in 1984, she found her forever home in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Captivated by the warmth of Southern hospitality, she built a life — and a business — rooted in community, care, and craftsmanship.

By 1996, she turned a small house into what is now Bridal Place — a shop that has stood strong as Rock Hill evolved around it. From full-time alterations in her living room to a boutique serving brides, grooms, and prom-goers alike, her dream grew stitch by stitch. Today, her team is made up of local Rock Hill residents who continue her legacy of excellence, compassion, and artistry.
